Her friends from the Association des Sommeliers d’Alsace taught her all about the history, the geology and the variety of soils in Alsace.
Danièle, who was awarded the prestigious “Grand Prix de l’Association de la Presse et du Vin” prize in 2007, is also a two-time finalist of the renowned Meilleur Sommelier de France competition. Having created the Vins et Tartines concept in 2003, she now composes the Cartes des Vins of the restaurant Les Pissenlits, as well as the wine lists for the Cottage Nancy and Luxembourg hotel restaurants. As knowledgeable about the Provence as about the Rhône valley, Bordeaux or Alsace regions, she takes pride in purchasing products from small producers herself, and is now a member of the very exclusive Maître Sommeliers de France club. |
